SUMMARY

The position of the Picking Agent includes filling customer orders and delivering them to the packing station in a manner that meets company standards for safety, security, and productivity while being responsible for checking the quality of the product as well as the completeness and correctness of all orders. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Picking Agent supports the shipment of goods produced and the received goods and supplies destined for sale to the customer base.  Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Efficiently and accurately pull inventory/product from the warehouse for shipment to customers and clients.

  • Inventory movement to and from warehouse racks for fulfillment and/or storage.

  • Counting of physical inventory as well as tracking amount of all inventory received or moved.

  • Process return inventory, identifying damage, and placing re-sellable inventory in warehouse location(s).

  • Check-in inventory, affix applicable labels/tags and place in quick-pull bins according to size, type, style, color, or product code.

  • Fulfillment of special projects, including conference orders.

  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition at all times to include sweeping, dusting and mopping.

  • Attendance and punctuality are critical.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.  Must be able to read and count accurately, and write legibly.  Strong organizational, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to conduct business in English are also required.  Customer service experience is desirable along with competency in Microsoft applications including Excel, Word and Outlook.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to lift and carry boxes weighing up to sixty (60) pounds.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT 

Requires periodic overtime and standing, climbing ladders, walking, kneeling, squatting, bending, reaching, as well as working in hot or cold temperatures with exposure to noise, dust, odors, etc.
