The position of the Packing Agent includes placing manufactured goods and products into containers such as boxes, trays, bags, and crates for shipment and delivery to customers and clients while being responsible for the quality of the product as well as the completeness and correctness of quantities pulled for all orders.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Packing Agent supports the shipment of goods produced and the received goods and supplies destined for sale to the customer base. Duties include but are not limited to:
Efficiently and accurately verify ordered quantities have been pulled and packed from the warehouse for shipment to customers and clients.
Pack product in appropriate containers using appropriate packing materials such as poly bags, bubble wrap, and dunnage to ensure delivery without incurring damage during shipment and seal shipping containers using suitable method.
In addition to the packing list, identify various inserts specified by the fulfillment client including catalogs, special flyers, return forms, backorder notices, tastefully inserting all into the shipment.
Examine and inspect factory packaging to determine if product should be reinforced or re-packed.
Fulfillment of special projects, including conference orders, PAF, Comcast, and physical inventory counting.
Responsible for keeping an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand at all times as well maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
Attendance and punctuality are critical.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required. Must be able to read and count accurately, and write legibly. Strong organizational, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to conduct business in English are also required. Customer service experience is desirable along with competency in Microsoft applications including Excel, Word and Outlook.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Must be able to lift and carry boxes weighing up to sixty (60) pounds and perform basic visual quality inspections on products and quantities pulled. Repetitive motions may be required.
Requires periodic overtime and standing, climbing ladders, walking, kneeling, squatting, bending, reaching, as well as working in hot or cold temperatures with exposure to noise, dust, odors, etc.
